Gospel Music Is a Gift
Ken Allgood — known as Kenania — is a passionate Gospel keyboard instructor based in Troy, NC. Rooted in the tradition of playing by ear, Kenania teaches the way Gospel music was meant to be felt — through listening, feeling, and expression, not sheet music.
Whether you are a child picking up the keys for the first time, a church musician looking to grow, or an adult who has always wanted to play Gospel, Kenania tailors every lesson to your goals. All ages are welcome. Client requests are always encouraged.
As a fully mobile instructor, Kenania travels to you — bringing the keyboard, the knowledge, and the Spirit directly to your home, church, school, or community space anywhere within the NC area.

The Name Behind the Music

The name Kenania (Chenaniah/Kenaniah) is the Hebrew name of the chief Levite appointed by King David to direct the music when the Ark of the Covenant was brought to Jerusalem. It means "Established by God." Like his biblical namesake, Ken Allgood carries that same anointing — skillful, faithful, and called to lead God's people in worship.
